List of ingredients that we currently use or plan to use:

Tofu (medium-firm)

Yes, dogs can eat tofu. However, if you choose to feed this to your dog, it should be in moderation. Besides containing high protein, tofu also has many useful nutrients for dogs; some of which are very healthy and beneficial. Some of the beneficial minerals include Manganese, Calcium, Selenium, Phosphorous, Copper, Magnesium, Iron, and Zinc. Tofu should only be given as an occasional treat to reap its health benefits. Tofu may be a healthy option for dogs with food allergies. It is also known to be liver and kidney-friendly. So if your canine has any health issues with the kidney or liver, or perhaps even a potential bladder stone, tofu may help in moderation.

Lean Ground Beef / Sliced Beef
Yes, dogs can eat beef as part of a balanced meal and especially as treats.  A protein-rich diet is important to provide the energy with your dog needs. At the same time, a source of lean beef is a great option. This provides essential fatty acids, to give your dog healthy skin and coat as well as help their muscles and joints. Beef contains the following health benefits:
·Essential Vitamins and Minerals
·Rich in Amino Acids, which help with muscle development
·Omega-3, can help with skin problems
·High-Quality Protein for Maintaining Muscle Mass
·Rich in Heme-Iron, which is well absorbed and known to prevent Anemia

Lean Ground Bison/Sliced Bison
A great source of protein and an alternative for dogs with allergies to common protein sources; such as beef or chicken. This alternative option is great for dogs of all ages and sizes that might not enjoy beef as much, or need something different once in a while. Bison is a low-allergen meat source, good for dogs with allergies. It is easy to digest for complete nutrient absorption and breakdown into smaller eliminations. Across all cuts, buffalo/bison meat has fewer calories, fat, and sodium compared to beef. In addition to higher Iron levels, it has higher protein content, such as Omega-3 and Omega-6. Furthermore, there is 50% less cholesterol in buffalo meat than in beef or pork.

 Beef or Bison Liver

In most cuisine, the idea of the cooked liver may not sound too appetizing. However, dogs really love this as a treat. Beef liver can contain up to 100 times more nutrients than any other type of meat. Hence, this makes an excellent choice for your “furry friend”. The liver has a high content of vitamin A, vitamin B, and its derivatives, as well as Iron with trace minerals and CoQ10 (Antioxidant). Aside from being a great source of protein, the liver is known to cleanse a dog’s body of various toxins. Thus, resulting in another awesome health benefit.

Beef Kidney
Yes, most dogs would love this. The beef kidney is organ meat with the most nutrient density and is considered part of a natural diet for wild canine species. It is a good source of protein, vitamin A, and various forms of vitamin B such as B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, vitamin C, Iron, Copper, Zinc, Phosphorus, and Selenium.

 Chicken Breast (without skin)
Chicken has always been a part of staple food for both humans and dogs since it is a very commonly accessible source of protein which often provides dogs with much-needed energy for those tugs-of-war. It also has a good supply of Omega-6 which is good for skin and coat for those nice belly rubs; as well as essential Amino Acids and Glucosamine for healthy bones (so your dog can feel younger).
.
Chicken Kidney
Chicken kidneys are more nutritious and offer more health benefits than beef kidneys. However, either one will provide a healthy portion of the necessary daily vitamin intake. The kidney provides a wide range of vitamins, including vitamins B12, E, and K. Vitamin A found in kidneys aids in eye cell generation helps improve vision and assists in creating mucus. Kidneys also contain Iron, which acts as an antioxidant and helps carry oxygen throughout the body. (Thus, a good deterrent to becoming anemic.)

 Duck Breast/Meat/Neck (without skin)
Again, if your dog can be somewhat “picky” or has an allergy to one of the sources of protein, then duck meat is your solution and can also help with a sensitive stomach. This, of course, is also a great source of protein for your lovable dog. Duck meat is low in saturated fat and contains most forms of vitamin B needed by dogs. It also contains sufficient amounts of Phosphorous and Potassium for energy and muscle activity.
With the help of the B vitamins, duck meat strengthens your dog against the risks of cancer. Vitamin B3 (aka Niacin) helps regulate a steady level of glucose in the body. In addition, this also converts protein, fat, and carbohydrates into usable energy. Vitamin B6 (aka Pyridoxine) is your dog’s friend, supporting energy, metabolism, and cardiovascular health. Duck meat also contains Zinc and Selenium. These are antioxidants that help boost the immune system. Selenium can also help maintain the normal thyroid function of your pet.
Omega-3 in ducks is primarily responsible for your dog’s healthy skin and coat. Meat from the duck neck supports healthy teeth and gums. It is also a great source of Calcium, Phosphorus, and trace minerals. Whether it’s duck neck or meat from other parts, your dog will love you even longer because he/she is healthy and happy.

Turkey Breast and/or Ground Turkey (without skin)
Turkey is a very popular source of protein and often in high demand. It is usually found in a healthy dog’s diet or it is the most desired dog treat of all. Full of effective nutrients and easy to digest, it is strongly recommended for dogs with digestion issues. Turkey is low in calories and high in Selenium and Tryptophan; both of which benefit the immune system. Similar to chicken, turkey is a lean white meat that helps dogs build muscle to help them stay strong. (So they can protect you or even win more tug-of-war games with you.)

Wild Sockeye Salmon/Pink Salmon
Salmon is definitely a great source of protein and Omega-3, which support the immune system, may decrease inflammation, and help maintain a healthy and shiny appearance for your dog’s coat. In fact, salmon is a common ingredient in high-quality dog foods and treats. If your dog is allergic to more common sources of protein such as chicken; salmon would be an ideal treat for a well-behaved dog. Never give your dog any raw or undercooked salmon. We ensure it is baked properly and perfectly then dehydrate it for that extra savory chew.

Kangaroo Meat
If you can have access to this type of meat, then why not? Kangaroo is naturally the leanest (red meat) protein. Therefore, it is recommended for dogs with health conditions that require a low-fat diet. (ie. Pancreatitis)
The low-fat levels present are unsaturated fats (the good type!). Above all else, kangaroo meat contains optimal levels of Zinc and Iron compared to any other meat. Zinc has a critical role in the proper function of cell membranes. It also supports the immune system responses in dogs against diseases. Thus allowing for quick recovery from any wounds received during an active or adventurous lifestyle.

Eggs
Eggs are an important source of nutrition, vitamins, and minerals. They are also one of the most complete sources of amino acids (building blocks of protein). Therefore, it makes perfect sense for us to add eggs as part of our dog treats and into some of our ingredients. This, of course, is a great way to boost your dog's protein intake with results of improved health – both internally and externally.

Oriental Sweet Potato

Purple on the outside and yellow inside, the Oriental Sweet Potato is actually sweeter than the more popular orange varieties. (something which dogs love) This tasty root vegetable is low in fat and full of nutrients such as; Carotenoids, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C, as well as Antioxidants and Phytochemicals. High in Pyridoxine, Potassium, Fiber, and Magnesium; the Oriental Sweet Potato is also a good source of Copper, Iron, and Manganese. These are all essential minerals that perform numerous functions in cells – from transporting oxygen to assisting in the assembly of proteins. A “sweet” ingredient without any regrets for our Chew Love dog treats

Carrots

In some of our healthy and tasty dog treats, we add carrots for many reasons. To start with a few, they are naturally sweet ingredients that are low in fat and calories. Carrots are known to be high in soluble fiber. For instance, nine baby carrots (approx. 3 oz) contain 2 grams of fiber. If your dog happens to have loose stool sometimes, he/she can benefit from carrots in the diet. The addition of this fiber helps form a more solid stool. Carrots are also rich in Beta-Carotene and Vitamin A, resulting in a host of nutritional benefits for your dog. Apart from contributing to eye health, they also support a thriving immune system as well as healthy skin and coat.

Broccoli
Although dogs don't actually need much fruits or vegetables to live healthy lives, certain ones do occasionally make suitable treats and can provide health benefits. Broccoli is high in fiber and Vitamin C, and low in fat. It is safe and a great addition to some of our ingredients for dog treats. Broccoli is known to produce anti-cancer effects, assist with healing infections, treat skin and heart problems, and help metabolize drugs and excrete toxins.

Cauliflower
Cauliflower is a treat you can share raw or cooked. It contains Vitamins and Antioxidants which help reduce inflammation. It can also help order pets if they have arthritis. The fiber component can support digestion health. However, too much of it may cause upset stomach. As always, moderation is key – that's why we put just enough in some of our delightful dog treats.

Cabbage
Including all types of Antioxidants, rich cabbages are safe for dogs to eat - and even beneficial. As a healthy
and tasteful addition, we use green or red cabbages in some of our handcrafted treats. The cabbage has high fiber content which allows for ease of digestion. Researchers have found and stated that cabbages are proven to fight cancerous properties. Certain components in a cabbage help increase the production of enzymes, which are helpful in preventing the potential growth of cancerous tumors.

Homemade Cottage Cheese (made from Lactose-Free Milk)
High in Protein and Calcium, the cottage cheese is fairly bland in taste. Therefore, it can be a good way to add some extra protein to some of our recipes without affecting the intended flavor. On the other hand, not all dogs have the stomach to handle dairy products well enough. This is why we use a proportionately small amount to be added and use only lactose-free milk.

Rice Flour
This is a perfectly good substitute for wheat flour if wheat allergy directs you to an alternative. A good source of energy that is very easy to digest.

Apples

Apples are definitely always good for dogs as a treat. In essence, its “tart” taste isn't necessarily a turn-off for dogs. Whether it's tart or sweet, we have combined these with our natural ingredients for some of our enticing dog treats. Apples are an excellent source of Vitamin C, Fiber, Calcium, and Phosphorous. They are a safe way to satisfy your pet's craving for sweets!

Banana
Packed with Potassium and Vitamin C, bananas are a very good source of Vitamin B6, as well as Manganese, Biotin and Copper – from all of which a dog can benefit in overall health.
The high Potassium content aids in the function of muscles and blood vessels. Vitamin C is known to help fight against Cataracts, Glaucoma, Kennel Cough, Joint Inflammation (ie. Arthritis) and certain infections. It can also help with recoveries from injuries and help enhance a dog’s immune system. Among these, there are so many other health benefits for dogs – so go bananas!

Dry Pollock
Comparable to salmon, we use premium dry Pollock; a very good source of lean protein and low in saturated fat. This too, makes it easily digestible for dogs; especially following upset digestion and even with liver or kidney disease, while good for maintaining weight control.

Quinoa
It is safe to add Quinoa in some of our high-quality dog treats, and your dog will thank you for it! This mighty healthy ingredient is a great source of antioxidants such as Flavonoids, Quercetin, and Kaempferol. Quinoa also contains B-vitamins such as Riboflavin and Folate and minerals such as Magnesium and Iron. Just remember, for all of our healthy premium ingredients listed, please feed our treats in moderation.

Kabocha Squash/Pumpkin
This is also known as Japanese pumpkin, which has become very popular in North America due to its natural sweet buttery taste.  An excellent source of Beta-Carotene; great for the immune system, healthy hair, skin, and eyes. Also rich in Iron, Vitamin C, and some B-Vitamins. One of the more appealing qualities of Kabocha squash is that; it has just a fraction of calories compared to other squash type families. The Kabocha squash or pumpkin is often recommended for dogs with an upset stomach, diarrhea, or constipation.

Organic Strawberries (Dehydrated & Ground into Powder)
Strawberries can actually be beneficial for dogs. Not only do these berries taste wonderful; but they also boast a high fiber content, as well as essential vitamins and minerals. Strawberries are a fantastic substitute for high-calorie treats. This is important when searching for low-calorie foods for a possibly overweight pooch. Please be sure to check out some of our ever so delicious dog treats containing organic strawberry powder!

Wild Blueberries (Dehydrated & Ground into Powder)
These are considered to be a superfood and great for everyone. Lucky these are sweet and perfectly safe for dogs. Blueberries are “jam-packed” with many nutrients that can make a great addition to a dog's diet. Blueberries contain Antioxidants - known to have anti-aging properties and improve the health of your lovable dog.
